As a perfectly balanced supercar, the R8 not only offers blistering speed but awe-inspiring handling. The Audi R8 features the legendary quattro® all-wheel drive system. The R8 inspires driver confidence, giving you ample traction when necessary, regardless of road conditions. To accommodate the 500+ horses of the R8, the quattro system utilizes a continuously variable torque distribution, dynamically adjusting power to the wheels with the best traction. The R8 features a significant 85% rear torque bias and up to 30% available for the front wheels as needed, this highly specialized quattro system provides the R8 with a balanced driving experience unlike any car on the road.

Strapped to your back, is the heart of the R8- the soul snatching 500 horsepower 5.2L FSI V10 engine. On display under a glass panel and nestled within a Carbon Fiber Sigma engine bay. The V10 revs to an astronomical 8700 RPM and propels the R8 V10 to 60 MPH in a mere 4.4 seconds, and continues on to a top track speed in excess of 190 mph.

Shifting is performed via the F1-style manual shift paddles mounted on the steering wheel, or via the automatic system. A sport mode shift program further accentuates motorsport-oriented gear shifting. The manual transmission features a gated shifter, S mode and launch control, which offers lightning fast shift times.
