Meet the 2016 Ford Focus RS
Initially revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, Ford has blessed us with the new Focus RS. Unlike the previous Europe-only model, this one will be making it’s way state-side. At the Auto Show Ford claimed this new model will have 315hp, but it actually will have 345hp and 324b-ft of torque. The power will be sent to all four wheels with help from a six-speed manual transmission. The new RS will be right above the ST model, competing directly with the new Golf R.
The two liter turbo four will be the same unit found in the Mustang EcoBoost, but will feature upgrades to the turbo, intercooler, a bigger radiator as well as an upgraded intake. The new RS is currently being put through its paces the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which we are kicking ourselves in the back for not going to.
