Ferrari 488GTB Unveiled

Today Ferrari has unveiled their new turbocharged, 458 replacement. At first sight, one can definitely see traces of the outgoing 458, with small bits that remind of us of the LaFerrari and 308GTB, here and there.

This new 488, however is a completely new beast, featuring a 3.9L biturbo V8 packing 660bhp, and a staggering 560 lb-ft of torque. This is a pretty large jump from the standard 458’s 562bhp, and the Speciale’s 592 bhp. Those 660 horses are sent to the rear wheels via a dual clutch 7-speed gearbox which comes from the 458. Ferrari states that the 488 will sprint from 0-62mph in only 3 seconds, and 0-124 mph in only 8.4 seconds. Top speed is rated at 208mph.
